A veteran musician, producer, and engineer, Tim Hearsey has a fully equipped recording space for creating your music. With a focus on songwriting and arrangement, he can help you move through the process from starting point to masters for finished product.
The Grand Koolios at their core are Tim Hearsey, Chris Nordquist and Rob Becker. Collectively and individually, they have amassed a large list of credits as sidemen for the likes of bluesmen Taj Mahal, Bo Diddley, Hubert Sumlin, Eddy Clearwater, Eddie ‘cleanhead’ Vinson.... (as well as many other artists and diverse genres). Multi- award winning (Junos, Maple Blues Awards), the Grand Koolios pedigree and musicianship is undeniable! They have been the house band for the Pender Harbour Blues Festival for the last 9 years, supporting a wide selection of artists (David Vest, Brent Parkin, Jim Byrnes, John Lee Sanders, Russel De Carle & Stephen Briggs, Sean Verreault). They recently performed at the Vancouver Folk Festival backing up Grammy Award winning Mike Farris. Cannery Row is a trio from the west coast of British Columbia featuring the talents of Tim Hearsey on guitar, slide, vocals; and Chris Nordquist on drums, percussion, washboard, vocals and Gary Comeau on piano, fiddle, accordion, mandolin, guitar and vocals. With diverse musical backgrounds and a common love of roots, folk, Latin, jazz & blues music, Cannery Row has woven an eclectic mix of original tunes.You will hear the influence of Mardi Gras from New Orleans, the blues from Memphis and the Mississippi delta, the Latin rhythms of Cuba, and a sprinkle of the early roots of Jazz, the trio performs songs from their self-titled album.
